Future Prediction: More Committees

Here is an example of the prevailing political culture in this city.

The article details a problem, in this case a specific pattern of crime, and a response by the city to create a committee to look at the problem.

This happens all the time. This administration does everything in its power to deflect blame. It would rather save face than admit to there being problems.

If you read The Capital with regularity, you have heard the common excuses:
"There is a problem nationwide--it affects us just the same as everybody else." or "We are experiencing the effects of a bigger problem." or "This started in a previous administration." or "The county need to do more to help.". Just watch, you'll see.

So, my prediction for the future: more committees, more blaming others.
